The Grub Shop is the new buzz-worthy eatery freshly-launched by Sal DiBenedetto (@thegrubfather – CEO of The Connect Agency) and John Romero (@forkyoujohn – owner of Punta Cana Dominican Grill in Westbury and Rockville Centre).
How to best describe what to expect at The Grub Shop?
“I’ve pieced this concept together to mirror my love of food and the culture,” states DiBenedetto. “Our food + vibe is based on feeding the soul. If you smashed Bourdain and Guy Fieri together, their food baby would be me.”
The inspiration that Bourdain brought to the vision of this new restaurant is absolutely unmistakable, courtesy of the colorful and attractive mural of his image at The Grub Shop, painted by Northport’s Efren Andaluz III, who you may know as Andaluz The Artist (with some background graffiti via @phetus88!
“The late, great Anthony Bourdain is the reason I took this adventure into culinary storytelling and aggressive global travels,” states DiBenedetto. “Honoring him with this mural in my first restaurant was an easy decision because his impact on my own journey has been profound.”

One look at the decadent Grub Shop menu – filled with must-have, comfort-food, guilty-pleasures + PLENTY enough bomb-dot-com-tastiness to get the job, by god, done – will most def bring the Guy Fieri inspiration inherent at this gustatory destination into full-belly focus!
