“We want to offer the community something new,” explained Jill. “A place to reap the benefits of exercise, yoga, a healthy diet and meditation- only, in a way that feels down-to-earth and really approachable.” And that’s exactly what SOUND offers; a multifaceted and holistic approach to getting both body and mind chilled out, toned up and in sync.

The studio’s offerings already include a broad range of yoga classes, including Flow Yoga, Beginner Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Candlelight Yoga and Core Yoga. Their fleet of experienced instructors have both the gentleness to welcome new yogis, and the charisma to push the more experienced yoga practitioner into more challenging realms. SOUND also offers Mat Pilates, Core Fusion Pilates, Personal Training and three different Circuit Training classes, for the more endurance-hungry clientele.

While the light gray walls and sand-colored plank floors might make SOUND the most modern and serene studio in town, it’s their unique approach to fitness and health that makes them truly stand out.

Yoga classes take on a modernized approach that is rooted in Western music - allowing the mind to quiet and connect to the body more easily with familiar sounds and tunes. Live musical guests will even perform on occasion for their Sunday morning Acoustic Flow Yoga class.

Jill, a certified nutritionist and accomplished nutrition writer, offers both private counseling and group nutrition classes that are focused on mindful eating -- a scientifically proven approach to healthful eating that marries the mouth to the mind. Unlike fad dieting or Weight Watchers, Jill’s mindful eating classes aim to cement life-long healthy eating habits by focusing on our eating rituals. The goal is to retrain the mind to see eating as a more flexible, enjoyable, and conscious experience.
