Last Thursday, as the evening arrived and the hot daytime sun began to cool, The Conklin Barn in Huntington Village was buzzing with the energy of artists and fine-crafters congregated at the Pagio Marketplace to display and sell their unique handmade (and high-quality) work.
If you haven’t heard of it, yet – the Pagio Marketplace is a new bi-monthly, outdoor, pop-up market where Long Island fine art (and fine craft) artists, food vendors, and musicians are able to offer their skillfully made — and often one-of-a-kind items — for sale to the community.
The Pagio Marketplace – organized by Paola Giordano of Pagio Jewelry Designs, strives to restore the interaction between the “creator” and “consumer” while providing original, quality, and 100% handcrafted products in a fun-to-be-present setting!
Operating every other week on Thursday evenings from 6-9pm the marketplace has been very well received by the Huntington community. Each event is FREE, features live music and welcomes both children and pets!! And the live music is a definite plus – this most recent installment of the Pagio Marketplace featured the sounds of talented singer-songwriter-guitarist Dan Acosta!
As usual, Living Huntington was on the local scene – and we captured some photographs of all the al fresco creative action. Here are a few images from the event…
