Huntington Rotary Club's Taste of the Town (on Wednesday, October 16th at Appliance World) was a great event! Event-goers were lined up despite the weather!

Taste of the Town is an annual event where some of the hottest names connected to the Huntington culinary scene set up shop at Appliance World and invite the area's most ardent local foodies to sample the tasty bites and creative cocktails they've concocted!

Taste of the Town (hosted by Huntington Rotary Club) is a community event with fabulous food, wine and beer all provided and donated by local restaurants. The event benefitted the Greater Huntington Council of Yacht and Boating Clubs along with the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society – proceeds will go towards Boating Safety Programs and Initiatives plus the many charities that the Huntington Rotary supports throughout the year.

Raffle baskets and big ticket auction items, generously donated by local businesses, were in abundance and added to the fun, all in the spirit of Rotary's motto "Service above Self."

Taste of the Town Highlights

Mark and Karen Heuwetter, owners of Six Harbor Brewing Company, Huntington's first microbrewery greeted everyone as they came in with two delicious offerings.

Chef Marciano and family were there with their Mobile Wood Fired Pizza Truck serving up delicious pizza that really drew the crowds!

Orlando and Nino were firing up the grill Italian style with fresh Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli that was simply exquisite.

Juan and Max of Sur-Argentinian Steakhouse followed suit by smoking up some dates wrapped with bacon and some delectable shrimp in garlic sauce.

We also cannot forget Besito where Jose and Juan had the freshest Guacamole and Carnitas Tacos in the house!

Incredulous Desserts provdied by Buttercookery Bakery and we splashed it all down with delicious Nitro Cold Brews and mini Iced Lattes from Soul Brew with Kristin and Jeffrey who also had delicious scones and cookies to share!

As always, wine was generously donated by Bottles and Cases.

Thank you as well to Appliance World for opening your doors to this great event!
