Photo Gallery: 8th Annual Girls Inc. Gala at The Crest Hollow Country Club

The 8th annual Girls Inc Gala (presented by Northwell Health) took place on November 7, 2019, at The Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York; honoring industry leaders who inspire girls to be strong, bold and smart.

Everyone was welcomed to the event by Girls Inc Executive Director, Renee Daniel Flagler. This year’s honorees were Jeffrey Kraut – Executive Vice President, Strategy and Analytics Northwell Health and Associate Dean, Strategy, The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Elaine Rizzo – Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource and Learning Officer at Investor’s Bank and Stacey Sikes – Executive Dean of Entrepreneurship and Business Development at Hofstra University. To top it all off, the emcee of the night, was radio and media personality, Helen R. Little.

Girls Inc is committed to advancing the rights and opportunities of girls and young women, to reduce and eliminate the barriers girls face, and to reform systems that impede their success.

Girls Inc works closely with the needs of young girls from low socioeconomic neighborhoods. These girls often face multiple obstacles along their journey toward success.

This year Girls Inc awarded three inspiring girls with scholarships for higher learning. These winners were Rosegarine (Gigi) Laurent, Chanelle McKenzie and Farihah Chowdhury. These women have overcome remarkable challenges, and have shown to be exceptionally strong, bold and smart throughout their journey.

A night of dinner, dancing and great speeches went off in a room full of beautiful, strong, bold women and the men who support them. Vibrant in reds, you could feel all the love and positive energy in the room. A wonderful event put together by the entire Girls Inc family along with Hillary Needle, president of Hillary Needle Events.
