Huntington Choral Society Spring Season Begins | Zoom Rehearsals

The Huntington Choral Society continues in its virtual iteration as it moves into the Spring 2021 season.

Zoom rehearsals begin on February 1st but late entrants will be accepted; no audition necessary. This spring’s theme is Americana, including selections from Bernstein’s Candide, Copland Folk Arrangements, Porgy and Bess, and several spirituals. HCS will also premiere a commissioned work from Long Island’s own Jennifer Tibbetts.

The Choral Society hopes that they may return to in-person rehearsals sometime in the Spring with the opportunity to perform live at the Heckscher Park Summer Concert Series. If not a virtual performance is planned.

So if you are looking for a chance to sing, share your love of music and revel in the joy of making beautiful music come and join the Huntington Choral Society.

About the Huntington Choral Society

The Huntington Choral Society is a professional chorus of amateur singers. That may sound paradoxical so allow us to explain. HCS singers are all amateurs in the truest sense of the word: we sing for the love of singing. HCS singers are not compensated for their performances, and yet, we achieve the highest standard of professional musicianship. We believe that HCS concerts are the equal of any professional choral experience. We invite you to come listen and see if you agree.
