Pickles, pickles and more pickles is what you will find at the Greenlawn-Centerport Historical Society's pickle festival at the John Gardiner Farm on September 21!
Hosted at the historic home of Alexander Gardiner, a wealthy farmer in the 1800's who brought the pickle industry to Greenlawn. The 39th annual The Pickle Festival has something for all pickle fans - including specialty pickles, jams, jellies, farm -grown vegetables, baked goods, crafts, a corn maze and the famous lollipop train.
Did you know that Gardiner was known as the "Pickle Pioneer" within the community as he grew hundreds of acres of pickles, a popular delicacy at the time.
Who knew that Huntington had so much "pickle history"!!
