Not sure what to do for Valentine's Day, yet? How about some classic cinema with a strong dose of romance?
The Cinema Arts Centre invites all lovebirds and lonely-hearts to spend Valentine’s Day with them revisiting the iconic masterpiece: CASABLANCA - with a champagne and chocolate reception!
Casablanca is the story of Rick Blaine, a cynical world-weary ex-patriate who runs a nightclub in Casablanca, Morocco during the early stages of WWII. Despite the pressure he constantly receives from the local authorities, Rick's cafe has become a kind of haven for refugees seeking to obtain illicit letters that will help them escape to America. But when Ilsa, a former lover of Rick's, and her husband, show up to his cafe one day, Rick faces a tough challenge which will bring up unforeseen complications, heartbreak and ultimately an excruciating decision to make.
Of all the classics in all the films in all the world, Casablanca is one of the best!
The event includes a reception with champagne and chocolate-covered sweets to enjoy!
Casablanca will be showing at 7:30pm on February 14 at the Cinema Arts Centre.
Tickets are $20 for public and $15 for members.
