April 27 is Arbor Day, a holiday in which individuals are encouraged to plant trees which provide so many important and necessary things for us all!
To celebrate, join in the Arbor Day Tree Identification Hike at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site.
Theodore Roosevelt was a dedicated conservationist who believed that the message of the holiday would help people learn the benefits of ahealthy national forest system.
Join a naturalist on a walk through the trails of Sagamore hill, learn to identify some common trees and shrubs, and discover the changes that have taken place in TR’s beloved woodlands.
This is a great chance to get outside with the whole family and learn something new!
