If so, you may be interested to learn that the Huntington Arts Council has put out a call to artists for their upcoming 'The Manipulated Image' juried exhibition - and that the juror for this show is an accomplished photographer from Northport!
Get your best work together and submit it for consideration before their January 3rd, 2018 entry deadline.
JUROR: Nicolas Bruno studied at Purchase College of New York, where he received his BFA in Photography. With a studio practice based in Northport, New York, he photographs and fabricates props for his compositions. These constructed worlds of uncertainty exist on a plane between waking and sleeping pulling influence from the 19th century Romanticists, historical texts of occultism, and dream symbolism lace each composition with various visual dialogues of the macabre. Nicolas’s work has been featured in PetaPixle, Huffington Post, CNN Style, and Vice; while exhibiting at South Gallery in Cleveland Ohio, Passage Gallery in Purchase New York, and Haven Gallery in Northport New York.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists including full time students.
MEDIUM: Photography Based Media
ENTRIES: All entries must be original to entrant. Must be framed with hanging wire on back. No artwork previously shown in the Main Street Gallery will be accepted. Submission materials cannot be returned.
SIZE FRAMED: Up to 24”W x 48”H (including frame)
ENTRY FEE: First 2 entries: Artist members $30, Full-time students $25, Non-members $40. Additional entries: $5 ea. No more than 2 works per artist will be selected.
SALES: The Huntington Arts Council retains a 25% commission on all work sold.
LIABILITY & INSURANCE: All works are insured while in the possession of the Huntington Arts Council.
RECEPTION: Friday, February 9, 2018 6-8pm
SHOW RUNS: February 9-March 3, 2018
